IMPLEMENTASI KEBIJAKAN POINT-BASED IMMIGRATION SYSTEM TERHADAP ISU KEAMANAN INGGRIS-POLANDIA MASA KEPEMIMPINAN BORIS JOHNSON

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisispelaksanaankebijakanPoint-based Immigration System terhadapisukeamananInggris-Polandia masa kepemimpinan Boris Johnson. Kekhawatirantentangkeamanan di Inggristelahmenyebabkankeprihatinan di kalanganmasyarakatterkaitkemungkinanhilangnyalapanganpekerjaan dan meningkatnyatingkatkejahatan di negara tersebut. Situasi ini dipengaruhi oleh tingginyajumlahimigran di Inggris, khususnyadari Uni Eropa, dengan kebanyakanberasaldariPolandia. Dampakkebijakanimigrasi Uni EropamenyebabkanInggriskehilangankontrolataspintuperbatasannya. Akibatnya, Inggrismemutuskan untuk keluardari Uni Eropa. Di bawahpemerintahan Boris Johnson, Inggrismenerapkankebijakan baru bernama "Point-based Immigration System" untuk menanganiisu-isuimigran di negara, terutama yang berasaldariPolandia yang inginbekerja di negara tersebut. Dalam menjelaskanpenelitian ini, penulismenggunakanteoriAdaptive Model of Foreign Policy untuk menjelaskanmengapaimplementasikebijakanPoint-based Immigration System terhadapisukeamananInggris-Polandia masa kepemimpinan Boris Johnson belum optimal. Penelitian ini juga menggunakanjenispenelitianeksplanatif dengan pendekatankualitatifkarenapenulisberusaha memperoleh pemahaman mendalam mengenai suatu fenomena sosial.
