MENTORING GOVERNMENT’S APPARATUS IN THE VILLAGE OFFICE OF SARANGBURUNG USRAT, JAWAI SUB-DISTRICT, SAMBAS REGENCY

ABSTRACT The research employed a discriptive design with a qualitative approach. The fostering was viewed from six dimensions according to Stewart’s concepts covering enabling,facilitating, consuling, collaborating, mentoring, and supporting. Result of the research indicated that the implementation of the events held in the village was carried out well by the apparatus. However, there was a need to provide training in order to upgrade the apparatus’ skills and competence. Hence, it may equalize their knowlwgde, competence, and skills. It was hoped that the traning could be held immediately to overcome current problems in the governmental environment. The cooperation among superiors and subordinates, workmates, and the community was obligatory to create good teamwork and succes in the organization. All elements should take part in the program. Mentoring activities such as seminar and special training may serve as a plus point to enhance their knowledge in the village office. In addition, the superiors should be able to motivate the apparatus to increase their motivation in work.
