SELF DISCLOSURE KORBAN PELECEHAN SEKSUAL DALAM KOLOM KOMENTAR VIDEO YOUTUBE “YANG PENTING BUAT DIOMONGIN”

Abstract

Penulisan Skripsi ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui alasan penonton video “Yang penting buat diomongin” berani mengungkapkan pelecehan seksual yang dialami di kolom komentar video. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena mengingat masih banyak korban yang belum berani berbicara dan melapor, karena biasanya korban cenderung disalahkan oleh masyarakat yang menganggap pelecehan seksual adalah topik yang tabu. Skripsi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif eksploratif untuk memeroleh jawaban menyeluruh mengenai permasalahan ini. Pengungkapan diri oleh para korban terjadi karena tujuh faktor yaitu besaran kelompok, perasaan menyukai, efek diadik, kompetensi, kepribadian, topik dan pengaruh jenis kelamin. Dari tujuh faktor, hanya empat faktor yang memengaruhi korban untuk bercerita mengenai pengalamannya yaitu faktor perasaan menyukai yang mendorong korban untuk menanggapi pengungkapan diri yang dilakukan oleh Gita Savitri Devi. Faktor efek diadik juga mempengaruhi korban untuk mengungkapkan diri karena Gita Savitri Devi melakukan hal yang sama terlebih dahulu. Faktor kompetensi memiliki pengaruh karena korban pernah mengalami tindakan pelecehan seksual sehingga percaya diri untuk mengedukasi orang lain agar tidak mengalami kejadian yang sama. Kemudian faktor jenis kelamin memiliki pengaruh karena terlihat dari pengungkapan diri didominasi yang perempuan akibat stigma masyarakat mengenai korban pelecehan seksual yang hanya dialami oleh perempuan.

Abstract
There are still many survivors of sexual assaults who feared to talk and report such incidents because society inclines to blame them since they consider sexual assault is a taboo issue. This study aims to find out the reason for the video audiances “Yang Penting Buat Diomongin” dared to disclose their sexual assault experience in the video comments column. This thesis used explorative qualitative methods to obtain a comprehensive answer to this problem. Self-disclosure by victims occurred because of seven factors, namely the size of the group, feelings of liking, the effect of dyadic, competence, personality, topic, and gender. Of seven factors, only four factors that influence the victim to tell about their experience, namely the feeling of liking the victim Gita Savitri Devi as a public figure and influencer that drives them respond to Gita self-disclosure. The dyadic effect factor also becomes the victim’s influence to reveal themselves because Gita Savitri Devi initiated the disclosure. The competency factor was influential because the victims assumed they had experienced sexual assault, so they were confident to educate others not to experience a similar incident. Moreover, predominantly female self-disclosure presents the influence of sex on this disclosure due to the community’s stigma about victims of sexual abuse that are only experienced by women.
