PERILAKU MASYARAKAT DALAM MENGGUNAKAN AIR SUNGAI UNTUK KEBUTUHAN RUMAH TANGGA (Studi Di Desa Semelagi Besar Kecamatan Selakau Kabupaten Sambas)

Abstract

Water is one of the sources of the need for human and other living beings. River water in addition to readily available and relatively cheap, can also be used for various purposes. One of the benefits of river water is important, but less or not appreciated is the ability to destroy and wash away dirt assortment including manusi dirt, garbage and other waste. This is due to the river was used as a disposal an assortment of waste and rubbish including activities of Shower Wash latrine (toilet) daily by people living on the edge of the river in the village of GreatSemelagi.People who live along the banks are doing daily activities such as bathing, washing clothes, washing kitchen appliances, washing furniture, defecating them into the river, so the water near the waste material in the form of laundry detergent waste directly into the river . As a result, the quality of river water is directly influenced by the way of life and activity (behavior) of humans, so that cases of water pollution can no longer inevitable. The impact of water pollution greatly affect people's lives directly or indirectly as cause various diseases. Therefore, measures the impact of the application of methods of controlling the water needs to be undertaken to manage the preservation of water resaources.
