PERILAKU PEMILIH MASYARAKAT MELAYU PADA PEMILIHAN KEPALA DAERAH TAHUN 2010 DI KABUPATEN KETAPANG Studi di Desa Negeri Baru, Kecamatan Benua Kayong

Abstract

This article was written because there is an interesting phenomenon in Ketapang district elections in 2010, which shows a shift in voter behavior. It says there is a shift in voter behavior because of the Negeri Baru Village is an area that is dominated by Islamic religious and ethnic population of Malay, but in this area candidate Henrikus the Christian religion and ethnic Dayak able to excel in the vote in the second round. This research uses qualitative descriptive analisys. The result showed that the shift in voting behavior is because people judge candidates in the figure nominated by the party does not have sufficient capacity and capability to become regent, money politics, and the influence of the incumbent. Therefore, should a political party to put forward a good system as well as providing to the public in order to create figures that whould have the capability and electability are high and the public better understand the essenceof elections.
