UPAYA POLISI SATUAN NARKOBA POLRESTA PONTIANAK DALAM PENCEGAHAN PEREDARAN PENYALAHGUNAAN NARKOBA STUDY KELURAHAN DALAM BUGIS

Abstract

West Kalimantan government has made preventive measures to implement education programs to the community. Although the efforts have been made by Pontianak goverment in cooperation with the police of Narcotics Agency in West Kalimantan Provincial prevent trafficking and narcotics abuse among the community, but in fact showed that the efforts of the police officers did not get the results as expected. And also the lack of community due to the distribution and the increasingly widespread use of narcotics, on the other hand the lack of police from narcotics’ department and relevant agencies.

The purpose of this study is to express how important the role of the police narcotics’ department and relevant agencies in preventing and reducing the dangers of narcotics in the community. The writer uses a descriptive qualitative approach because the problem under study is a social phenomenon on the social behavior of narcotics users.

Based on pre-research findings, it can be traced that the types of drugs that are often circulated among the general public, which include: opioda (opium / opiate, morphine, heroin), cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and shabu-shabu. Educative effort is an attempt to prevent distribution and narcotics abuse in the community through education by guiding and directing that communities to develop their potential and personality development.

The writer expects advices from local community and the government to work together with the police, and stake order to provide counseling about narcotics distribution and abuse, and to socialize about narcotics to the whole society through print and electronic media, especially about narcotics and the effects of its abuse and decisive cracking by giving punishments as severe as to anyone who involved the narcotics distribution without discriminately.
